I took a brief walk along the Turkey Creek Greenway in west Knox County 
Monday morning beginning on the section from behind the Earth Fare store 
(how nice to finally have a convenient place to park without worrying about 
having your car towed) toward Lovell Road. Among the birds that I was able 
to ID were

6 American wood ducks (including one beautiful male in breeding plumage and 
another male not in breeding plumage)

at least 150 red winged blackbirds
many American goldfinches
Northern mocking bird
Carolina wren
Bluejays
8 crows flying over
2 or 3 female Mallards
Rufous sided towhee

I'm sure I've forgotten to mention some
