The railroad is about a couple hundred yards away from both the sites
I know of. But, like Don said, the main cargo on these tracks is coal
and, until 5-10 years ago when the mines closed, zinc-mine ore (at one
point, Jefferson Co was the second largest zinc producer in the world).
Marcia Davis told me of a new report of Eu. Collared-Doves in Jeff Co.
We're hoping to get more specifics.
I keep looking at every dove I see in Knox Co. but still haven't found
any.
