To the best of my knowledge "visiting rights" to the Long-tailed 
Jaeger belong only to our neighbor to the north, Kentucky.  It 
has not yet "violated" Tennesse air space or waters, but I am sure
there are many birders hoping that it wanders just a few miles 
south.  However, at present the bird appears to be happy with
the Kentucky hospitality it has received.


Many thanks to Hap and others who have reported on the bird. I
hope it stays around for others to view.  Mike Todd's photos are 
quite good, but not as close up as those taken just a few days 
ago of a similar immature Long-tailed Jaeger, which was walking 
around on the shore of a northern Arizona lake.
