So sorry for the short notice on this reminder:
 
The Knoxville Chapter Tennessee Orinthological Society (KTOS) will have a 
picnic meeting (bring a covered dish to share) tonight at beginning at 6:30 PM. 
 The meeting location is the Knoxville Zoo Tiger Tops facility.  
 
I am so excited to see this facility - I looked on the Zoo web site and found 
this:

Tiger Tops
Seating for up to 75 people.  Get a ?wild? feeling as you step into this space 
with surrounding views of our tree-lined woods. The facility also has an 
expansive deck shrouded by trees that overlooks our white tiger - Ravi. Seats 
25 indoors and 50 outdoors.

 Knoxville members - please remember to check with elderly KTOS members that 
might live in your neighborhood and see if they need a ride to the zoo.
 
Anyone interested in birding is welcome.  We like visitors!  Many persons exist 
on the "fringes" of KTOS and participate in birding cyberspace by reading this 
mailing list.  Please know that you are welcome to attend the meeting and find 
out about us and the upcoming field trips. The exact map and driving directions 
were included in the most recent newletter, or just call me for driving 
directions!   I will be glad to help.
 
Tonight's topic is the new Bird Aviary at the Knoxville Zoo and we will get a 
private tour of the Bird Aviary beginning at 6:30 pm.  This is 30 minutes prior 
to the start of the picnic/meeting and includes only the bird facility not the 
entire zoo which is closed at that time.
