[TN-Bird] Memphis chapter field trip, TO Fuller/EARTHcomplex

Eleven members and guests of the Memphis Chapter of TOS found surprisingly
little heat, dust and flies on our field trip to TO Fuller State Park and the
EARTHcomplex in sw Memphis Saturday morning, August 30.
What we did find:
double-crested cormorant - 1
cattle egret - 1
great egret - 8
great blue heron - 2
green heron - 10
snowy egret - 1
little blue heron - 2
yellow-crowned night heron - 1
wood duck - 35
Canada goose - 8
mallard - 20
Cooper hawk - 1
red-tailed hawk - 2
kestrel - 2
Mississippi kite - 1
killdeer - 500
semipalmated plover - 4
black-necked stilt - 20
Baird's sandpiper - 2
least sandpiper - 3000
pectoral sandpiper - 800
semipalmated sandpiper - 100
solitary sandpiper - 5
stilt sandpiper - 1
western sandpiper - 6
greater yellowlegs - 5
lesser yellowlegs - 55
least tern - 2
Eurasian collared-dove - 4
mourning dove - 150
pigeon - 9
belted kingfisher - 1
hairy woodpecker - 1
e wood-pewee - 1
horned lark - 10
barn swallow - 2
tree swallow - 1
Carolina chickadee - 1
Carolina wren - 2
e bluebird - 2

best sighting of the day was an aerial dogfight between a Cooper hawk and a
kestrel.
