This all sounds like a great idea to me.  As for the older
issues, the obvious short-term solution would be to simply
scan them in page-by-page as image files and go with that.
Slap all the image files from one issue into one PDF and
there you go.  Quick and easy.

Granted, they wouldn't be searchable; but, it would be
fairly simple and not TOO time consuming to put together a
rudimentary HTML index page with article titles linked to
the appropriate file.

The more complete version could then be done as time and
cost permits.

On a side note, I'm still in the process of compiling records
from previous bird counts conducted by KTOS and am seeking
that data -- particularly results from the fall counts which
are not published in _The Migrant_.  If anyone out there has
some of this data, I'd appreciate it if you could contact me
privately.
