[tn-bird] Re: Archiving THE MIGRANT online

Chris Sloan:

Congratulations on your selection as a TOS officer. I did not
include you in the original mailing because you are not shown
as an officer in any information available to me. The TOS
website shows officers thru the year 2003 and you are not
listed there. Hmmm?

What was I thinking? I should have noticed something strange
was going on when the award-winning website is still announcing
the spring meeting and has nothing about the fall meeting. Who
is responsible for keeping TOS and everyone else up to date on
that website?

What office do you hold? I saw a message in mid-June
from David Trently, saying he was hanging on to the treasurer
http://www.freelists.org/archives/tn-bird/06-2002/msg00094.html
job and announced that they need someone. Were you interested
in that position? You would be really good at that!

Anyway, thanks for your valuable comments and response
to my message about archiving THE MIGRANT. I know that
Chuck and/you will have more to report at the upcoming fall meeting.
How do you get in touch with Chuck when you want to e-mail him ?

I tip my hat to you for bringing this up at the spring meeting. And I
will tip my hat to anyone else who will tell the rest of us what is going
on in TOS. Maybe we can depend on the leadership to keep us
informed and to respond to our e-mail. You did! Thank you !

Chris, you were a really good president of TOS and a true leader
and were responsive then and you are responsive now.

We need that in a good TOS president. Don't you think ?

Wallace Coffey
Bristol, TN
