 Today Mary Zimmerman, Michael Smith, and I birded 
Shelby Park and phase 1 of Shelby Bottoms in Nashville.
 13 species of Warblers were seen:

Yellow-breasted Chat - 1 immature
American Redstart - 4+
Black-and-white Warbler - 5+
Blue-winged Warbler - 1
Canada Warbler -1
Chestnut-sided - 4+
Golden-winged Warbler - 1 (Mission Hill)
Kentucky - 2
Magnolia - 11+
Nashville - 1
Wilson's - 4
Common Yellowthroat - 6+

The "best" bird of the day was a Mourning 
Warbler on Mission Hill. This bird caused
us a litttle confusion as there were several female
Common Yellowthroats in the area. A small amount
of black on the lower throat and a faint trace of a hood
indicate that it was probably a first year male. The last
Mourning I saw in the Fall in Nashville was several 
years ago, so this was a nice surprise.
