We will meet at the TVA pond at 8am. Please bring a lunch, plenty of water
and sunscreen. In anticipation of hike, I visited the site this am. A ditch
has been dug across the main road between the ponds. It is still possible to
visit all the "good" sites, it just takes some walking or driving and
backing. A high clearance vehicle is a help, but not necessary. We will try
to consolidate into as few cars as possible at the meeting site. The key to
the MLGW property works, the restrooms will be unlocked at the treatment
plant, and lots of birds await us including at least 7 Buff-breasted
Sandpipers, 1 Wilson's Phalarope, over 100 Lesser Yellowlegs, several
Greaters, many Solitaries and 3000+ of the "usual suspects".  Now if they
only hold until Sunday.
