[tn-bird] Re: Whooping Cranes Over Tennessee

When we were young guys in our 20's and attended the
state TOS meetings, we all thought Robbie Hassler was
the hotest, most beautiful gal on earth. It was true. She was
gorgeous. If it had not been for her husband Dave
hanging around birding all the time, we'd have been
"hitting on her" on every field trip. We were in our early
20's back then and she was in her late 30's and you
guys out there know how good an older women can
looks to you at that age. And she was one heck of a
good birder, great friend, great leader and great TOS
person. We all hung around for years, waiting on Dave
to get lost in the woods but he knew what a great woman
she was and how lucky he was. So, we all just had to go
hitting somewhere else and marry another dream. And
Dave still has his life-long childhood dream and loves her
more than ever. .
I don't care if she is 100 years old. We should send a photo
spread of her walking over the mountain for the cranes
and let them make her the Miss October centerfold for Mature Life
Magazine. Then all of us dirty old men can think about about
Whooping Cranes again.
Sorry Robbie! You know I couldn't help that :-)
One of your many, younger, secret admirers
Bristol, TN
