I have started my fall migration banding at Greenway Farms in Hamilton
County, and despite the heat (I am only able to open the nets from about
7:00 am until 9:30 am) I have picked up a couple of interesting migrants
already.
August 17: 2 Hooded Warblers, 1 Yellow-throated Vireo, 1 White-eyed =
Vireo, 1
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher
August 21: 1 Blue-winged Warbler
August 23: 1 Worm-eating Warbler, 1 Yellow-breasted Chat, 1 CONNECTICUT
WARBLER
There have also been lots of hummingbirds around
A cold front is expected to move through late next week, so that should
bring a lot of birds in.
