Kingston Steam Plant, Roane Co, TN

Temp about 100 F, but bearable due to a steady wind from the SW

 

Great Blue Heron - 1 (I was surprised to not find any other herons, egrets,
or cormorants)

Canada Goose

Mallard

Blue-winged Teal - 6

Turkey Vulture - 5 perched on power pole next to Swan Pond Road, near a very
large road-killed deer

Osprey - 2

Killdeer - 110

Spotted Sandpiper - 2

Semipalmated Sandpiper - 11

Least Sandpiper - 5

Buff-breasted Sandpiper - 1 in the elevated pond uphill on the left as you
walk into the area from the parking lot.  Most of the shorebirds were in
this pond.

Caspian Tern - 3

Mourning Dove

Unidentified swallows

Carolina Chickadee

Northern Cardinal

Blue Grosbeak

American Goldfinch

 

Wild Turkey - 5 alongside TN 95 at the K-25 plant.
