     I previously reported that on July 03 I had found 10 large 
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron nestlings on four nests in the woods beside 
Blackbottom Shoals 
in Elizabethton, TN.  A few days after that Tom McNeil called me to tell me he 
saw 10 juvenile Yellow-crowned Night-Herons standing in the river at 
Blackbottom Shoals, some of them still with some downy feathers showing.
     I also reported that I had found a fifth nest with an adult sitting on 
it, but no nestlings apparent.  Last Saturday, 06 AUG 2005, Dianne Draper and I 
returned to inspect the nest and found two large nestlings around and on it.  
Some of their feathers were still bristly looking, and they walked out on the 
branches near the nest as we watched.  One of them also coughed up a rather 
messy pellet in several pieces which I could not recover in the 
whitewash-stained weeds below the nest.  One of the older nests which was 
nearby was empty.  
We didn't inspect any other nests.
     Also, on the approach trail, Dianne found a Red-shouldered Hawk breast 
feather.
