Forgot to mention an interesting sighting last Sunday 8/8 at
Tinsley Park in Cleveland, TN?

We walked the Tinsley Park nature trail & decided to extend our
walk up the hill to the park swimming pool.  When we got near
the surrounding fence at the pool, we disturbed a hawk, who flew
& landed on the handrail of the diving board! (quite a strange
sight).  The hawk appeared to be an immature Red-shoulder.  It
then flew to some pine trees which overlooked the pool on the
opposite side.  Soon after, the hawk went after something on the
ground, & 2 crows swooped out of nowhere to try & steal a meal. 
The hawk missed it?s prey & flew back into the same pine stand. 
Upon closer review, a nearby large nest was found in the pines
(looked very similar to the red-shouldererd hawk nest we found
at Fletcher Park in April this year).  This nest was no more
than 30 feet or so above a public pool!
