  I Did a check on the heron rookery on Little Elder Island at Woods Reservoir 
yesterday. I counted four young Little Green Herons sitting togethr on a limb 
just above the water. They are just before being fully flying. There were eight 
or ten young cattle egrets at roughly the same growth stage. Fully featherd but 
not fully flying. There were Great Blue Herons on the island and Black Crowned 
Night Herons nearby but I saw no young.
