Ensley Update
I left off one of my favorite shorebirds on my previous post. Semipalmated 
Plovers were striding around on the flats on Saturday and Sunday in good 
numbers, all were adults - 23.

It is time to watch for immatures, I'm anxious about there being a good 
breeding season, considering all the huge failures being reported in the news. 
A 
few years back, late spring snows prevented a lot of shorebirds from nesting 
and 
few immatures were seen.

It is a good idea to age and sex your birds if possible. It makes counting 
more interesting and data more revealing.
