[TN-Bird] Kingston Steam Plant

I went to Kingston Steam Plant this morning (7:30-9 am) to look for
shorebirds--hopeful after all the rainy weather. But this is more on a
Lack of Shorebirds report. Besides dozens of Killdeer, there was one
solitary SOLITARY SANDPIPER.
A few other birds of interest though:
--A flock of 12 D-C Cormorants overhead and two more diving in the big
pond.
--An Osprey working on a nest on top of a TVA crane. Guess he's
planning ahead for next year, but is he (she?) in for a surprise when it
will be gone.
--A pair of Blue Grosbeaks copulating, and another male not too far
away. Isn't it a little late to be starting a brood?!
--Singing Common Yellowthroat, Ea. Meadowlark, and Common Bobwhite.
--Loads of Song Sparrows, Indigo Buntings, Canada Geese, and
Killdeer--so what's new?
