[TN-Bird] Good Yard Bird Week

We had a surprisingly good July week number of birds in our yard. Highest
count of the week was 44 species today. We've really enjoyed the parent birds
bringing their babies for us to see: Yellow-breasted Chat, White-eyed Vireo,
Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers, Eastern Wood PeeWee, Orchard Orioles, and Red-tailed
Hawk have all made appearances. But the baby highlight of the week was the
Pileated Woodpecker baby so young his little (relative term compared to his
parents) head was pink rather than red. It was so ugly it was cute.
Other Warblers seen were a Cerulean female, Common Yellowthroat male, and two
American Redstart females. In addition we saw: Red-eyed Vireo, an immature
Great-creasted Flycatcher, a Summer Tanager male, Cedar Waxwings, a male
Scarlet Tanager and finally a Wood Thrush viewed after hearing them for days.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird have continued to empty 8 feeders daily. Although
we've not seen many we think are babies, numbers seem to be increasing, so
either they are sneaking in or they matured during the two weeks we were in
Tucson.
