FreeLists / tn-bird / [TN-Bird] Cattle Egrets at Shelby farms

Yesterday (7/6/06) midafternoon while walking at Shelby Farms I observed 20-25 
Cattle Egrets feeding in the pasture with the buffalo.  Later that evening my 
husband & I checked out the Meander Lake area about 7:00 p.m.& they had moved 
to that side of the park.  The whole flock was sitting beside the southern 
shore of the lake as if for the night.  They were delightful to watch, 
especially feeding with the buffalo!  
In the Meander Lake area we also saw an Eastern Towhee, a Great Blue Heron, & a 
Great Egret.
