A WHIE IBIS and a LITTLE BLUE HERON, both immature, joined the great
egrets at Rankin Bottoms yesterday.
More than 400 TREE SWALLOWS were roosting on the power lines across the
mouth of the Nolichucky River; hundreds more streamed north along Douglas
Lake, probably heading for the power lines past the Rankin Bridge.
A few more species to add to the list of 6/28:
Belted kingfisher
Eastern wood-peewee
Eastern kingbird
White-eyed vireo
Purple martin
Barn swallow
Cedar waxwing
Indigo bunting
Orchard oriole
Lake level is currently at 993.6.
