[TN-Bird] Wind Bird Species Number 11

Another quick trip to the pits revealed a big increase in Least Sandpipers,  
numbers now up to 165. Semipalmated Sandpipers tripled to 3;o) and a WESTERN  
SANPIPER now strode the flats. One peep was very interesting with a short  
pointed bill, long black tibia and tarsus and unusual feather patterns on head  
and back. I'll try for some more photos this weekend if it stays around. These  
odd balls, when they show up, keep you looking at the details.
 
 
There is still a lack of water and the Stilt Sandpiper and Lesser  Yellowlegs 
were not found during my short stay. Every day now should turn up  something 
new.
