Brief follow-up to yesterday's message: returned Monday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. 
and saw 2 adult and now 3 fledged SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHERS on a wire.  One 
adult was feeding (thrice by alighting, once by hovering) into the gaping, 
coral maws of the three huddled youngsters. The adult bird brought insects four 
times in the 20 minutes I was there.  Many thanks to Terry Witt for spotting 
and reporting these.   
I won't repeat the entire directions: west side of Florence Rd. in a recently 
mown field with hay bales, just north of I-840 overpass in Rutherford County.
