Mustin Bottoms
Eagle Lake Refuge
Shelby Co. TN
This afternoon I went by Eagle Lake Refuge and found an adult male Anhinga.
The bird came to the surface infrequently but was successful twice while I
was there. One fish caught was a nice size drum and I did not see what the
other fish was before it slipped down the hatch. Every other time the bird
surfaced without a fish it would be carrying a stick with a small knot on one
end. I could not be for sure that it was the same stick each time but it
always looked the same. Figure that one out??
Good Birding!!!
