[TN-Bird] GA: South Polar Skua
- From: K Dean EDWARDS <kde@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

For those that may not have heard, a SOUTH POLAR SKUA is being
seen on Carter's Lake near Dalton, Ga, about 30-40 miles SE of
Chattanooga. First reported on 12 June but apparently has been
present for some time. Suspected to be related to the passage
of Tropical Storm Barry over a week ago. Was seen as late as
yesterday (14 June), I've not seen a report from today. More
info and directions are available from the Georgia listserv
archived at:

A rare oppurtunity to see a bird that would normally involve a
off-shore pelagic trip.
