[TN-Bird] Re: Reelfoot Lake Region Neotropic Cormorant

Glen and I have birded this area extensively for the last two days but have
been unable to find the Neotropic Cormorant that we saw on Monday at the
observation tower at White Lake again.
We will resume our search on Friday. We have found a couple of locations
where the Double-crested Cormorants are spending their time. We feel that
there is a good chance that the Neotropic has been in the White Lake area
for awhile.
The number of White Pelicans has increased. We had a total of 193 today.
There are at least six Black-necked Stilts and two nests at White Lake.
The river has peaked and will be starting down providing good habitat for
shorebirds during the next few weeks.
On a very sad note. Many of you know Nancy Moore and her dog Scarlett.
Scarlett passed away yesterday evening. I am sure those of you who knew her
will join me in extending our heartfelt sympathy to Nancy.
