Floating or paddling down rivers is a great way to watch birds.

Birders interested in Tennessee waterways can find a resource in a 
book recently published by UT Press. The second edition of Bob 
Lantz's "Tennessee Rivers: A Paddler's Guidebook" provides detailed 
information on paddling Tennessee rivers, including put-in spots, 
river conditions, and maps drawn to scale. You can find more details
