Least Bittern, 2;  watched one for an hour while it watched me wade, looking, 
no luck, for young and/or nest

Virginia Rail, 3 sighted;  heard others.  Caution: In all the noise from 
Red-wings and Grackles some frogs (Northern Cricket Frogs?) can sound somewhat 
like Virginia Rails. 

Virginia White-tailed Deer, 1 large female

Best Find:  Two young men and their mothers,  David and Cindy Hollie, Brandon 
and Sherie Croft.  The guys look middle-school age, they are competent, 
correctly identified all we saw and heard, pointed out an Orchard Oriole nest 
and a flycatcher nest that they have tentatively identified as Acadian, no eggs 
June 5, adult in vicinity.  We can look forward to their future postings on 
TN-bird.
