Many of you may have heard this already, but for those who have not....

Monday morning on National Public Radio's Morning Edition, John Fitzpatrick=
 revealed that the "mysterious rapping noise" recorded by the ivory-billed =
search team in Louisiana was actually nothing more than gunshots.  The =
Cornell team analyzed spectrographs of the recorded sounds to make this =
determination.  Additional analysis of more than 4000 hours of digital =
data captured by 12 acoustic recording units developed by the Cornell =
Lab's team of bioacoustics engineers, has also shown no indication of the =
species' presence.
