Hi TN-Bird!
Haven¹t had a chance to bird or post in a while, but I returned from the
hospital yesterday (5/5/07) and was fiddling with my keys when I noticed a
³funny-looking² raptor silhouette about a half-mile away over the Green
Hills area of Nashville (Davidson Co).

I ran inside, grabbed my bins, and returned to find a MISSISSIPPI KITE
soaring at dusk amongst myriad swifts.  These are beautiful birds and this
adult was hawking insects a few thousand feet up with sheer grace.

I have not seen this species in Nashville previously and wondered if it
could be included as a ³count week² find for the Big Day on Saturday.  Now
if I could just find a plumbeous kite in panama.
