[TN-Bird] Bobolinks, Shrikes, etc. in Franklin County

Dale and Lloyd Swant and I obsverved a very
conservatively estimated 13 Boblinks on Duncantown Rd.
one half mile east of state rte. 127 and just north of
Woods Reservoir just before noon today. The estimate
is conservative because this is just the maximum
number seen on a fence at a single time--there were
certainly more in what I assume to be an alfalfa field
on the north side of the road there.

Also at this location were at least three Dickcissels
and two immature Orchard Orioles.

Earlier I had confirmed the continued presence of two
Loggerhead Shrikes on Georgia Crossing Road 0.4 miles
west of Greenhaw Rd. N of Cowan, and also saw a
lingering White-crowned Sparrow on Water Tank Road
east of Goshen Rd. and SW of Cowan, and heard or saw a
total of 4 Bobwhites including one pair seen well.

It has been my very great fortune to find an incredibly wonderful bird.
