Oh sorry I should have specified the big House Finch is a rosy colored bird.
The rump is rosy just like a House Finch. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
But the smaller female with the larger male bird - I guess that might be the
female Rose-breasted Grosbeak maybe just hanging around with the big House
Finch? I don't know. She was up on a little branch above him moving her wings.
Maybe it's an immature begging for food? Do they act like that?
