[TN-Bird] Pelicans, Mid-TN Birds

Birders,
David Haggard, West TN State Parks Interpretive
Specialist, asked me to post his response regarding
comments on the recent injured White Pelican adventure
at Reelfoot Lake:
"I guess I need to clarify about the pelicans taking
off from where they really were, and not from land in
general. They were between houses, and two were
actually in dog pens. They were also stressed from the
hailstorm and being forced to the ground. I did not
mean to perpetuate and urban legend."
Meanwhile, in Middle Tennesee today, I had Nashville
and Blackpoll Warblers in my Nashville yard this
morning, a Yellow-crowned Night Heron at Burgess Falls
State Park in Putnam County this afternoon, and heard
four Cerulean Warblers singing at Edgar Evins State
Park in DeKalb County this evening.
