[TN-Bird] Re: Nikon ATB binoculars

Beth - I replaced my old (cheaper) Nikon Action binoculars with the Monarch
ATB 8x42 several months ago. Michael Sledjeski posted to the list about
these binoculars in October of last year (very positively) which inspired me
to go look for a pair as I was thinking of upgrading anyway. I couldn't
find any locally--couldn't find much of amything locally--so I ordered a
pair online figuring if I didn't like them I could return them. Well, I
loved them. They are so much lighter than my old Nikon 8x42s and although
they are the same magnification, the birds look closer/bigger through them.
They're very comfortable to hold and they're sturdy. I've dropped them
twice this past week (not something I make a habit of doing) and it didn't
faze them at all.
