[TN-Bird] Turkey Creek Wetland, Part 2

We went back to the Turkey Creek Preserve wetland at 1:15 this afternoon to
look for the waterthrush. We are now certain that it is a Louisiana, not a
Northern. We had good looks and the buff at the rear part of the belly was
very apparent. The bird was working around the faster moving water that is
near the unpaved trail just to the east of the bridge. See our May 4 posting
for directions. In a pond to the east of the unpaved trail, we saw one
Solitary Sandpiper.
In our backyard this morning at 7:15, we saw a male Red-headed Woodpecker. At
noon, three Pine Siskins came to the feeders. It had been three years since we
have seen them here.
