[TN-Bird] Rutherford County Lark Sparrow, Bewick's Wren, L Shrike et al

Update on some local target species.
No luck with the Scissortail Flycatcher at I-24/Tn 840 junction today, I had
looked on 4-29 but not yesterday. At the site of the 2004 STFLY nest on
Florence Road, a Loggerhead Shrike was seen on the wires, a species that has
virtually disappeared from this area over the past 20 years. The
Yellow-crowned Night-Herons at the Discovery Center appear to have nested
successfully, as one young bird was seen this AM. In northern Rutherford
County near the Wilson County line, a Bewick's Wren was singing at one of the
most consistent sites at the intersection of Alsup Mill Road and Rocky Hill
Road. DeLorme page 54 just barely. There is also one pair of Lark Sparrows
nesting in the field across from the trailer at 550 Alsup Mill Road, near the
wrens. Tape might be helpful with either or both of these birds.
Cheers
