Today at Austin Springs, on upper Boone Lake in northeast Tenn., I observed a 
Red-necked Grebe.  This is one of the latest sightings ever in the state.  I 
wonder if it might be the same bird that I saw in mid April on the Holston fork 
of the lake, but this site is several miles as the grebe swims from the earlier 
locale.  Perhaps this bird is injured & can't fly well enough to migrate.
