Please excuse my late posting, but I wanted to do some research before I
posted this. Just after having left the field trip group on Wednesday morning,
April 30th, at Radnor Lake (work), I found an orange variant Scarlet Tanager
along the dam, near Otter Creek Rd. I was able to study some interesting
plumage details, including the orange patch on the upper wing. I have been
trying to find some info regarding the relative abundance of these birds, and
the ratio to the normal Scarlet Tanager, but to no avail. Any info would be
appreciated.Michael Smith1133 Bayview DrGallatin, TN 37066
