I vote for Casa Ybel, if those are your two options. I used to live on Sanibel.
Captiva is nice, but I always hated being all the way out there. Casa Ybel is
closer to everything. However, I would strongly suggest going to the dock at
South Seas and renting a boat and getting a map and heading to Cabbage Key and
having the best cheeseburger in FL, its not far, and easy to find. Birding is
sure to be good along the way. Take a dollar, to sign, and pin to the wall. The
place is wallpapered with them. Jimmy Buffett started it!
