[TN-Bird] April meeting of the Chattanooga Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society

You are invited to attend the regular monthly meeting of the Chattanooga
Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society on Thursday evening
April 12 at 7:00pm (see directions below). The evening program will
include:
Study Skin Challenge, woodpeckers
A selection of study skins from the UTC collection, representing some of
Tennessee's woodpeckers will be displayed.
Bird of the Month, Blue Jay
David Stone will present a short talk about this common but beautiful
native songbird. Come to learn about this familiar omnipresent backyard
bird.
Main Program
Landscaping to Attract Birds to Your Yard
(With a special emphasis on Hummingbirds)
With spring planting time approaching and hummingbirds due to arrive any
time, Stacy Stones presentation on landscaping for birds, is well timed.
Dust off the shovel and trowel and bring a note pad to take advantage of
Stacy's expert advice on how you can improve habitat in your yard for
hummingbirds and other feathered visitors.
Refreshments and Socializing: Be sure and say thanks to Kathlina
Alford for providing snacks!
Our group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at Ascension
Lutheran
Church, 720 S.
Germantown Rd (Just South of I-24 in East Ridge)
