[TN-Bird] Nesting Blue Jays & lingering Y-b Sapsucker

Greetings from the Tennessee River Art Village in Perryville, TN
In late March, during a spell of warm weather, a pair of Blue Jays completed
their nest 20 feet away from my back window. I believe that
she started setting upon the nest appx March 30. Since I have such a good
view of them I am able to watch their comings and goings most of the day.
When we got our cold spell last week, she continued to set on the nest and
the male would bring her food. The hillside is somewhat protected, but the
temps would still get down to 20 degrees at night. I'll continue to watch
and will post the results of this nesting attempt.
Also, we still have a lingering Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, seen today
drilling into a Black Cherry tree. The foliage on the black cherries
appears to be o.k. at this point, not wilting. The foliage on the hackberry
trees seems to be lost.
