As I turned onto Whirlwind Lane near the 4-H Center last week I saw a Savannah
Sparrow fly up from the roadbank and into a nearby tree, posing for a nice long
look. Today, to my surprise, at the exact same place and in the exact same
way, another sparrow flew up, but this time it was a Vesper Sparrow. I could
imagine him thinking, "When in Rome..." :-)
