[TN-Bird] Saturday, South Holston Lake VA/TN

Musick's Lakeside Campground
South Holston Lake
Sullivan County, TN

On Saturday, 1 APR 2006, from Musick's Lakeside Campground which offers views
of both Washington County , VA and Sullivan County, TN, I observed, among
others, the following:
.
Canada Goose - 1 (TN)
Red-breasted Merganser - 15 (2 male) (flock moved from TN into VA)
Ruddy Duck - 11 (flock flushed by boat and flew from TN into VA)
Common Loon - 13 (2 in VA) (11 in TN)
Pied-billed Grebe - 3 (TN)
Double-crested Cormorant - 4 (2 in TN) (2 in VA)
Bonaparte's Gull - 9 (criss-crossing the State line in flight)
Ring-billed Gull - 1 (made long jaunts flying out of sight in VA and back
into TN)
