[TN-Bird] Cades Cove Birds

Cades Cove
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Karen Petrey and I went up to Cades Cove On Saturday April 1st and
had the following species:
Canada Goose 4
Wood Duck 6
Mallard 4
Bufflehead 42
Wild Turkey 1
Turkey Vulture 4
Sharp-shinned Hawk 1
Red-shouldered Hawk 1
Red-tailed Hawk 1
AMERICAN COOT 1
Killdeer 1
Downy Woodpecker 1
Northern Flicker 3
Pileated Woodpecker 1
Eastern Phoebe 1
American Crow 17
Tree Swallow 3
Carolina Chickadee 2
Tufted Titmouse 1
White-breasted Nuthatch 1
Eastern Bluebird 3
American Robin 7
European Starling 4
Yellow-rumped Warbler 2
CHIPPING SPARROW 2
Field Sparrow 3
Swamp Sparrow 1
Red-winged Blackbird 65
Eastern Meadowlark 5
Common Grackle 2
All waterfowl were seen at the "sewage ponds" along with a multitude
of feverishly mating frogs...
