American Bittern, 1, flushed from cattails about 200 ft south of gravel road.

Spent an hour wading in the rain looking for Least Bittern,- none

Looked for last year Least Bittern nests; they are completely gone, so any 
Least Bittern nest found now is this year's.  Since the new cattails are not 
tall enough for nest locations and material, early nests will be constructed of 
and in old cattails and may look like old nests.
