[TN-Bird] Craig Cove/Lyons Bend (Knox County)

Craig Cove/Lyons Bend
Knox County
I saw 48 species of birds walking around this area on Saturday, April 9.
Highlights included the following:
Double-crested Cormorant - a flock of 135
Wood Duck - 6
Red-breasted Merganser - 1
Bald Eagle - 1
Red-shouldered Hawk - 1
Spotted Sandpiper -1
Bonaparte's Gull - 6
Chimney Swift - 5
Purple Martin - 1
Tree Swallow - 3
Rough-winged Swallow - 2
Barn Swallow - 2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 1
Prothonotary Warbler - 1 (singing)
On Friday, April 9 a saw a Great Egret fishing in the mouth of 4th Creek
down the road from Lyons Bend.
