Yesterday, I received a request via email to identify a bird from photos
taken this week at a feeder in south Nashville (Davidson County).  The
bird was described as a  woodpecker - completely white except for a red
head.  I identified the bird as a leucistic red-bellied woodpecker
(RBWO).  The person requesting the identification granted permission to
share the webpage where he has posted the pictures.  You can view the
