[TN-Bird] Sprague's Pipits - No

I checked on the Sprague's Pipits that I found earlier in the week for the last
two days and have seen nor heard any signs of them. I suspect they were just
moving through when I lucked up on them.
As Mike Todd mentioned yesterday I was able to visit the shorebird field on
Todd Levee Rd. south of Humboldt in Gibson Co. on Wednesday where Mike had all
the shorebirds on Tuesday. There were well over 400 Pectoral Sandpipers
present. I was trying to count them but then several of them got up and flew
around and settled in to a different area which made counting them very
difficult. There were also 12 Am. Golden-Plovers present as well as several
Wilson's Snipe. I found 5 Baird's Sandpipers but I could have easily
overlooked some due to the massive number of Pecs and the field having recently
been plowed leaving a lot of large mud clods which hid many birds if they
weren't moving. I was also there in the morning so the sun was another
obstacle. An impressive bunch of birds though regardless!
Good birding,
Mark Greene
