Barb and I birded Fort Donelson National Battlefield,

Notes: The two adult Bald Eagles were seen only once,
immediately after a gunshot was heard along the Cumberland
River at a point about a half a mile west of the mouth of
Hickman Creek; the eagles flew out over the river from the
south bank where a steepish bluff occurs; then one flew
back and landed in a tree a bit closer to the mouth of
Hickman Creek; the other flew north across the river
into the Barkley WMA. The gunshot came from the
exact same area from which the eagles flew. Given the
date, the two adult eagles might have a nest in this
area; they definitely have hostile neighbors.
Cross Creek NWR, Stewart Co., 10 April:
Gadwall 2
Northern Shoveler 3
Caspian Tern 1
Barkley WMA, Stewart Co., 10 April:
Common Yellowthroat
Boswell Landing, Stewart Co., 10 April:
Eastern Kingbird
