I had a nice long walk around the place Tuesday. A Vesper Sparrow alongside a
flock of Savannah Sparrows made for a nice comparison. Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
were also seen. Several Brown Thrashers were heard singing. A Northern
Bobwhite was heard giving a covey call, then flushed singly. The season is
creeping right along.
