Jacksboro, TN   Campbell County

    This morning I heard a familiar song - a lazy  zeee  zee zzeeeezeeee 
in my back yard near the pond we put in last fall. Sure enough, I finally
spotted not one but two BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLERS. Really  gorgeous
little guys  and a great yard bird. It is rather unusual to have these
this far West of the Smokies, though I have had a couple in migration in
years past near Cross Mt.
Location is Jacksboro, TN at the edge of the Cumberland Mts. and Powell
Valley.
They  stayed around all day, very happy with the fare he was finding and
water source I suppose, and singing away.
  I also had a singing CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER in the yard today as well
as an AMERICAN REDSTART, Yellow-throated Warbler, Black and White,
Black-throated Green, Ovenbird, Pine Warbler and Yellow-rumps all over .
Hummingbirds were very active today, with at least 3 seen.
   First Spring arrivals at Cove Lake this morning were EASTERN KINGBIRDS
AND AN ORCHARD ORIOLE. The Swainson's Warbler and Prothonotary were heard
as well.
